This year’s pre-ENC IVAN meeting will have a new format featuring two mini-workshops. The topic for the morning will be Quantitative NMR, qNMR, lead by Dr. Sitaram Bhavaraju of U.S. Pharmcopeia, Rockville MD. Dr. Bhavaraju and U.S.P. are authorities in qNMR and have been one of the continuing co-sponsors of the yearly qNMR Summits. We are pleased that they will share with us at the ENC. The afternoon topic will be NMR Metabolomics, lead by Professor Emmanuel Hatzakis of Ohio State University.
The two workshops will be the focus of the meeting. We plan each to be about 2 hours, with a short break in the middle. We will also have a few short talks, one about OpenVnmrJ from Dan Iverson, information about the new Q One Americas from Don Bouchard and a short talk about CRAFT from Krish Krishnamurthy.
New this year, membership in IVAN and our mini-workshops are officially open to all interested NMR users of any vendor’s instruments, not just Varian and Agilent. This change acknowledges that the strength of the past IVAN meetings has been primarily in their tutorial content, of interest to all. We look forward to continuing IVAN-sponsored workshops at Future ENC’s and other appropriate venues.
As usual attendees are treated to a catered lunch and all ENC attendees are welcome at our afternoon reception.
