The topic of our March round-table workshop (Thursday March 24, 2022 @ 11:00 AM ET USA) was a discussion of Quantitative NMR : beyond 1H spectra. Prof. Patrick Giraudeau, CEISAM, Nantes Université, Nantes, France, will lead the panel that includes Dr. Marco Tessari, Assistant professor, Magnetic Resonance Research Center – Institute for Molecules and Materials, Radboud University, Netherlands, and Dr. Marco Guerrini, Director, Istituto di Ricerche Chimiche e Biochimiche G. Ronzoni, Milano, Italy.
While quantitative 1H NMR has been well described and is routinely used for many applications, it also has limitations arising from the characteristic features of NMR spectroscopy: spectral crowding and low sensitivity. We will provide a perspective on recent evolutions of quantitative NMR that go beyond 1D 1H NMR. These include quantitative 2D NMR applied to complex mixtures, as well as recent developments in hyperpolarized quantitative NMR.
